Come hangout at River Town Adventures and enjoy the festival-like Atmosphere around the City Market. Lansing 5:01 is throwing a bash! Live music, beer tent, food trucks, kayaking, vendors, local businesses, games, and more! Rent a kayak to listen & watch the live concert from the river.
First come- first served. Bridge Fest starts at 5:01 pm outside of the Lansing City Market!

Summer Solstice Night Adventure

8pm shuttles leave the Market and transport you to Crego Park.

Summer is officially here and the days are long! Join River Town Adventures for an evening paddle starting just before dusk. Enjoy a trip with our staff on a 2hr journey from Aurelius Rd. to the City Market. Your boats will be outfitted with lights to keep you safe as darkness falls. This will be an experience to remember!

Experience a guided paddle down the Red Cedar River. A one-of-a-kind event!

This interactive adventure will include several short stops along the way. Learn about the history of the river from expert presenters on topics including fishing, local history, ecosystems, kayaking techniques, and more! Family Friendly!

Common Ground Glow Paddles

4 Nights of Glow Paddles along the banks of Adado Riverfront Park. Listen to the live music from the Common Ground Music Fest!! Your boat will be outfitted with LED lights and we will give you a flashlight. Take some snacks and drinks with you and experience the concert in a unique way!

Boat rentals will start at 8:00pm every night and need to be returned by 11pm. So show up anytime in between to get your glow paddle on!

Lansing Parks and Recreation brings the Concert in the Park series to the beautiful Moore's Park. Enjoy a performance by the Lansing Unionized Vaudeville Spectacle! They are a must see and a must experience! After the concert hop in a boat right at the park. Your kayak will be outfitted with LED lights! Paddle for a little over an hour back to the City Market. This is shaping up to be an amazing night with our friends!!

All week long we will be celebrating the Red Cedar and Grand Rivers! This week will focus on water safety, paddling training, clean-up projects, education, live music, kayak racing, paddle boarding, and more!!

This is a super fun time-trial style race. Racers start on the Red Cedar at Kalamazoo St. and paddle downriver to River Town Adventures at the City Market. Racers are released every minute and each are individually timed. There are three classifications based on boat length. Everyone gets a Red Paddle shirt and a medal! Winners get prizes! This is a great way to get some exercise, support outdoor recreation in Lansing, and have FUN!

When: Saturday August 18th
Where: Starts on the Red Cedar at Kalamazoo St. Race ends at the City Market in Downtown Lansing
Start Time: Registration at 8:00 am. Race starts at 9:00am
How much?: Only $25 to participate!
River Town will provide you with a kayak if you do not have one! At no extra charge

This class is designed to introduce you and help you harness basic to intermediate paddling technique. You might not even notice you are developing your strength and agility as you gently float and explore your way down the Grand River at sunset.

Suitable for newbies and advanced practitioners of SUP and Yoga, this energizing class will help you develop better balance, coordination and body strength by linking your breath to a series of gentle yoga sequences.
